If you are using PrestaShop 1.7 and you have the official watermark module installed, you may have noticed that when you enable "Logged in customers can see images without watermark" a bug occurs which means anyone logged in can not see your images!
Luckily the fix is very easy and is just one line of code to disable.
Open up your hosting control panel and look for a file manager application. Once you are connected navigate to the file modules/watermark/watermark.php and open it up to edit it
Scroll down to line 298 and you should see
Options +FollowSymLinks
Add two forward slashes in front of the line like below
// Options +FollowSymLinks
then save the file
Open up your PrestaShop admin and select Design from the left menu, then click Image Settings.
Once it has loaded, scroll down to the "REGENERATE THUMBNAILS" section and select "All" from the "Select an image". Toggle the "Erase previous images" to "YES" then click the "Regenerate thumbnails" button.
That's it. Once the regeneration has completed, your logged in customers will be able to see the product images.

Which hosting company do you use? I'm Philip and this little website is my online side project. I often get asked which company I use for my website projects. Most of the hosting companies out there are no longer independent but instead owned by one of the big hosting giants who generally offer poor or average services (in my opinion). Krystal.uk (the company I use) are still independent (UK based) and go against everything the big companies stand for. Fast servers, good tech support and they actually re-invest a huge chunk of their profits to keep improving their services. All Krystal customers can offer people a £20 referral discount. If you do move to Krystal, please consider using the discount code "WMG" to get £15 off your hosting order (Krystal will give me the remaining £5 for referring you). Thanks again and happy surfing. |
